VÁCLAV HAVEL EUROPEAN DIALOGUES 2022: THE POWER OF DIALOGUE

We would like to cordially invite you to the annual international conference dedicated to the former Czech president Vaclav Havel and his legacy to be organised for the first time in Egypt. The conference is called “Power of the dialogue” and is a part of the program within the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU. In two parts of the conference, invited experts will discuss topics such as the ways and limits of civic engagement and democratic dialogue, solidarity, and the influence of public opinion on political engagement with participation of young people. The conference will include a rich accompanying program, a film screening, and the announcement of the winner of the student competition.

The event is a part of the Czech Centres’ 2022 EU Presidency Programme. The event is organised in cooperation with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Cairo, the Václav Havel library, the Czech Centres network, the Department of Czech language at Al-Alsun Faculty of Ain Shams University and Political Science Students’ Association at the AUC.  

نود أن ندعوكم بحرارة لحضور المؤتمر الدولي السنوي المخصص للرئيس التشيكي السابق فاتسلاف هافيل و الذي سيتم تنظيمه لأول مرة في مصر. المؤتمر يسمى “قوة الحوار” وهو جزء من البرنامج داخل الرئاسة التشيكية لمجلس الاتحاد الأوروبي.

في جزأين من المؤتمر ، سيناقش الخبراء المدعوون موضوعات مثل طرق وحدود المشاركة المدنية والحوار الديمقراطي ، والتضامن ، وتأثير الرأي العام على المشاركة السياسية بمشاركة الشباب. سيشمل المؤتمر برنامج مصاحب ثري وعرض فيلم وإعلان الفائز في مسابقة الطلاب.

يتم تنظيم الحدث بالتعاون مع سفارة جمهورية التشيك بالقاهرة ، ومكتبة فاتسلاف هافيل ، وشبكة المراكز التشيكية ، وقسم اللغة التشيكية بكلية الألسن بجامعة عين شمس ، ورابطة طلاب العلوم السياسية بالجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة.

Vi invitiamo cordialmente all’annuale conferenza internazionale dedicata all’ex presidente ceco Vaclav Havel e alla sua eredità che si terrà per la prima volta in Egitto. La conferenza si chiama “Potere del dialogo” e fa parte del programma della Presidenza ceca del Consiglio dell’UE. In due parti del convegno, gli esperti invitati discuteranno temi quali le modalità ei limiti dell’impegno civico e del dialogo democratico, la solidarietà e l’influenza dell’opinione pubblica sull’impegno politico con la partecipazione dei giovani. Il convegno prevede un ricco programma di accompagnamento, la proiezione di un film e la proclamazione del vincitore del concorso studentesco.
