Screening Film: Homeward

A cinema-verite documentary that follows the Dakh Daughters – a cabaret group, created by seven actresses under the roof of kyiv’s Dakh Experimental Contemporary Theatre. The video diary spans almost five years, following the Dakh Daughters from their first show, titled “Roses”, after their first popular song “Rozy/Donbas”, written long before the Donbas region became the war-torn area of the “Russian Spring”.
