‘Panta Rhei’ – Hungarian Dancing Performance

“Panta rhei” – everything flows.

The everlasting flow and change as the essence of all that exists is a concept attributed to the ancient Greek philosopher Heraclitus. Also important in his philosophy was the notion of harmony resulting from the union of opposites which are at once separate and complimentary. The Hungarian dancing duet Dorottya and David Diko explore in their performances the conscious and subconscious aspects of the interplay of opposites that cannot exist without each other: Adam and Eve, yin and yang, light and darkness, two sides of the coin. Their movement reflects the dualistic view of the world that is a fundamental characteristic of human consciousness. The motion in space creates spiral shapes that symbolize a change during continuous cycles of ascension and return. This change process is adapted to the body along four elemental types of motion quality (related to earth, water, fire, and air). The dancers will perform at the Maq‘ad of Sultan Qaitbey (MASQ) at an event organized in cooperation with the Hungarian Cultural Center in Cairo. The Maq‘ad of Sultan Qaitbey is a Mamluk monument in the ‘Desert of the Mamluks’ that dates back to the late 15th century. Once a sumptuous reception hall of the illustrious Sultan, it was conserved by ARCHiNOS in 2015 – 2016 with European Union funding, and now acts as a neighbourhood cultural hub operated by the Sultan Foundation with support from the Drosos Foundation. The event is free of charge and there is no need for advance booking, just show up in the mentioned time and location. كل  شيء في تغير مستمر- عرض راقص من المجر في مقعد السلطان قايتباي – الدخول مجاني

“بانتا ري” أو “كل شئ في تغيّر مستمر” في اللغة اليونانية. ينسب مفهوم التغيّر المستمر والأبدي كجوهر كل شئ في الحياة إلى الفيلسوف اليوناني القديم هرقليطس. وتعتبر فكرة الانسجام الناتج عن اتحاد الأضداد من الافكار المهمة أيضًا في فلسفته، حيث تكون الاختلافات منفصلة ومتكاملة في آن واحد.

يستكشف الثنائي المجري دوروتيا وديفيد ديكو، من خلال أدائهما الراقص الأضداد التي لا يمكن أن توجد بدون بعضها البعض في الوعي واللاوعي. مثل آدم وحواء، اليين واليانغ، النور والظلام، وجهي العملة الواحدة. تعكس حركاتهم النظرات ذات المعاني المزدوجة للعالم، والتي تعتبر سمة أساسية للوعي البشري. الحركة تخلق أشكالًا لولبية ترمز إلى التغيير خلال دورات الموت والبعث المستمرة. تتلائم تلك العملية من التغيير مع الجسم من خلال أربعة أنواع أساسية من الحركة (تتعلق بالأرض والماء والنار والهواء).

يستضيف مقعد السلطان قايتباي بالتعاون مع المركز الثقافي المجري بالقاهرة هذا العرض الراقص يوم السبت 11 يونيو 2022 في تمام الساعة 6م. مقعد السلطان قايتباي هو أثر مملوكي في “صحراء المماليك” يعود تاريخه إلى أواخر القرن الخامس عشر، كان يعمل كقاعة استقبال فخمة للسلطان. وقد تم ترميمه بواسطة مكتب آركينوس للعمارة ما بين 2015 – 2016 بتمويل من الاتحاد الأوروبي، ويتم استخدامه الآن كمركز ثقافي حي تديره مؤسسة سلطان بدعم من مؤسسة دروسوس.

  “Panta rhei” – tutto scorre.

Il flusso eterno e il cambiamento come essenza di tutto ciò che esiste è un concetto attribuito all’antico filosofo greco Eraclito. Importante nella sua filosofia era anche la nozione di armonia risultante dall’unione di opposti che sono insieme separati e complementari. Il duetto danzante ungherese Dorottya e David Diko esplorano nelle loro performance gli aspetti consci e subconsci dell’interazione di opposti che non possono esistere l’uno senza l’altro: Adamo ed Eva, yin e yang, luce e oscurità, due facce della medaglia. Il loro movimento riflette la visione dualistica del mondo che è una caratteristica fondamentale della coscienza umana. Il movimento nello spazio crea forme a spirale che simboleggiano un cambiamento durante i cicli continui di ascensione e ritorno. Questo processo di cambiamento è adattato al corpo lungo quattro tipi elementari di qualità del movimento (legati a terra, acqua, fuoco e aria). Sabato 11 giugno 2022 alle 18:00, i ballerini si esibiranno al Maq’ad of Sultan Qaitbey (MASQ) in un evento organizzato in collaborazione con il Centro culturale ungherese del Cairo. Il Maq’ad del sultano Qaitbey è un monumento mamelucco nel “Deserto dei Mamelucchi” che risale alla fine del XV secolo. Un tempo sontuosa sala per ricevimenti dell’illustre Sultano, è stata conservata da ARCHiNOS nel 2015-2016 con il finanziamento dell’Unione Europea, e ora funge da centro culturale di quartiere gestito dalla Fondazione Sultan con il sostegno della Fondazione Drosos. L’evento è gratuito e non è necessaria la prenotazione anticipata, basta presentarsi nell’orario e nel luogo indicati.
