Foragers moves between documentary and fiction to depict the dramas between the Israeli Nature Protection Authority and Palestinian foragers. With a wry sense of humor, the film captures the inherited love, resilience, and knowledge of these traditions, over an eminently political backdrop. Shot in the Golan Heights, the Galilee, and Jerusalem, Manna traces the effects of settler colonialism on land and cultural practices, as well as the politics of extinction debates that determine what gets preserved and who gets to decide.
Jumana Manna is a visual artist and filmmaker. Her work in film and sculpture explores how power is articulated through relationships, often focusing on the body, land, and materiality in relation to colonial inheritances and histories of place. She has participated in multiple film festivals including the Berlinale, Cairo Cinema Days, Goteborg Film Festival, Cinéma du Réel, among others. Jumana was raised in Jerusalem and lives in Berlin.

جُمانة منّاع فنانة فلسطينية تعمل في مجال السينما والنحت بالأساس. تستكشف أعمالها الكيفية التي تتبدى فيها السلطة من عبر العلاقات، مرتكزة بشكل أساسي على الجسد والمادية في علاقتها مع السرديات الوطنية وتاريخ المكان. شاركت في مختلف المهرجانات السينمائية بما في ذلك البرلينالي وأيّام القاهرة السينمائية ومهرجان غوتنبرغ السينمائي وغيرهم. نشأت جمانة في القدس وتقيم في برلين
