“More Than Honey”
About:
More than Honey is a 2012 documentary film directed by Swiss filmmaker Markus Imhoof about the threat of extinction of bees.
Albert Einstein once said: “If the bee disappears from the surface of the Earth, man will have only four years left to live.”
Over the past fifteen years, numerous colonies of bees have been decimated throughout the world. Although the causes for this are still a mystery, one thing is already clear: there is more at stake than simply a few dead insects, and a great deal more than just honey. Seeking answers, the film embarks on a journey to meet with people whose lives depend on bees: to a Swiss beekeeper living on an Alp; to the gigantic almond plantations in California; to a bee brain researcher in Berlin; to a pollen trader in China; and to the killer bees in the Arizona desert. The film tells us about their lives and about ours.

فيلم وثائقي تم انتاجه عام ۲٠١۲ من اخراج السويسري ماركوس ايمهور ويدور حول خطر انقراض النحل. ومن أقوال البرت اينشتيان: “اذا اختفي النحل من علي وجه الأرض لن يستطيع الانسان البقاء علي قيد الحياة أكثر من أربع سنوات”. وعلي مدار الخمسة عشر سنة الماضية هلكت أعداد ضخمة من النحل في كل أنحاء العالم. وبالرغم من ان سبب ذلك ما زال غامضا فان شيئا واحدا أصبح واضحا: هناك المزيد علي المحك أكثر من مجرد وجود عدد من الحشرات الميتة وأكثر من مسألة عسل. وفي محاولة للبحث عن إجابات يغوص الفيلم في رحلة للقاء أشخاص تعتمد حياتهم علي النحل: مربي نحل سويسري يعيش بجبال الالب – مزارع اللوز العملاقة بكاليفورنيا – باحث في مجال النحل ببرلين – تاجر حبوب اللقاح بالصين – فصيلة النحل الموجودة بصحراء أريزونا. يروي الفيلم تفاصيل عن حياة النحل وحياتنا نحن البشر.
