Artificial Intelligence (AI) is mostly discussed from a tech-savvy perspective. However, also literature reflects and sometimes even anticipates huge technological changes; both, the internet as well as the virtual reality somehow existed in literature way before they existed in reality. The bilateral project “Literature Meets AI” not only aims at examining AI from a literary viewpoint but also at establishing a permanent dialogue between Austrian and Egyptian writers. This online event will present the project and its results so far: Daniela Chana (AT), Judith Nika Pfeifer (AT) and Ahmed Awny (EGY) will talk about their writing processes and allow insights into new texts. Project leader Thomas Ballhausen (AT) moderates the event and explains the context of this exciting endeavour.
This project is a part of the initiative Internationale Literaturdialoge which supports innovative international literary cooperation. [www.literaturdialoge.at]
