عن أبو بكر شوقي
أبو بكر شوقي هو مخرج نمساوي مصري شهير. وقد قام بدراسة الإخراج السينمائي بالمعهد العالي للسينما وحصل علي درجة الماجستير في الإنتاج السينمائي من معهد تيش للفنون بنيويورك. وقد تم عرض فيلمه الروائي “يوم الدين” لأول مرة بمسابقة مهرجان كان لعام ٢۰۱٨ . وقد حصل الفيلم علي جائزة فرانسوا شاليه. وفي عام ٢۰۱٨ حصل شوقي علي جائزة أفضل موهبة سينمائية عربية لعام ٢۰۱٨ وتم ادراجه ضمن أفضل ٥ مخرجين عرب علي المسرح العالمي بمجلة فوربس. وقد قام شوقي بتأسيس شركة الإنتاج

We are pleased to announce a 3-day directing workshop with acclaimed Austrian-Egyptian filmmaker Abu Bakr Shawky. The workshop will provide you with individual guidance and practical tips, such as how to manage a budget or coordinate a crew, to make your film project a success. Apply for the workshop and get the chance to work one-on-one with an internationally renowned director!

A b o u t:
Abu Bakr Shawky is an acclaimed Egyptian-Austrian filmmaker. He studied directing at the Egyptian Higher Institute of Cinema and received his Masters in Film Production from the Tisch School of the Arts in New York. His debut feature film ‘Yomeddine’ had its world premiere in the main competition of the 2018 Cannes Film Festival. The film won the Francois Chalais Award, and was Egypt’s official submission to the 91st Academy Awards. In 2018, Shawky was named MENA Talent of the Year, and was listed among the top five Arab directors on the global stage by Forbes Magazine. Shawky founded the production company Desert Highway Pictures, which is dedicated to discovering hidden stories and bringing them to a global audience.
