L’Italia è dilaniata dalla guerra civile, siamo nel 1978. Da una parte, le Brigate Rosse, la principale organizzazione di lotta armata di estrema sinistra, e dall’altra lo Stato. Violenza di piazza, rapimenti, gambizzazioni, scontri a fuoco, attentati. Sta per insediarsi, per la prima volta in un Paese occidentale, un governo sostenuto dal Partito Comunista (PCI), in un’epocale alleanza con lo storico baluardo conservatore della Nazione, la Democrazia Cristiana (DC). Aldo Moro, il Presidente della DC, è il principale fautore di questo accordo, che segna un passo decisivo nel reciproco riconoscimento tra i due partiti più importanti d’Italia. Proprio nel giorno del suo insediamento come Primo Ministro del nuovo governo, che con la sua abilità politica è riuscito a formare il 16 marzo 1978, sulla strada che lo porta in Parlamento, Aldo Moro viene rapito con un agguato che ne annienta l’intera scorta. È un attacco diretto al cuore dello Stato. La sua prigionia durerà cinquantacinque giorni, scanditi dalle lettere di Moro e dai comunicati dei brigatisti: cinquantacinque giorni di speranza, paura, trattative, fallimenti, buone e cattive azioni. Cinquantacinque giorni al termine dei quali il suo cadavere verrà abbandonato in un’automobile nel pieno centro di Roma, esattamente a metà strada tra la sede della DC e quella del PCI.

في إيطاليا. في نفس يوم تنصيب الحكومة، التي أشرف علي إختيارها بمهارة، في 16 مارس ،1978 و بينما كان في طريقه إلى البرلمان،
تم اختطاف ألدو مورو في كمين بعد القضاء على جميع حراسه األمنيين. وهو ما يمثل هجوم مباشر على قلب الدولة. سيستمر أسره خمسة
وخمسين يو ًما، نرى خاللها رسائل مورو وتصريحات.البريغاتيستي: خمسة وخمسون يو ًما من األمل والخوف والمفاوضات والفشل
والنوايا الطيبة واألفعال السيئة. بعد خمسة وخمسين يو ًما يتم العثور عليه جثة هامدة في سيارة في قلب روما، بالضبط في منتصف الطريق
بين مقر حزب الديمقراطية المسيحية والحزب الشيوعي اإليطالي.

Italy is torn by a civil war in 1978. On one side, there are the Red Brigades, the main far-left armed organization, and on the other, the State. Street violence, kidnappings, mutilations, gunfights, and bombings take place in Italy. For the first time in a Western country, a government supported by the Communist Party (PCI) is about to take office, in an epoch-making alliance with the longstanding conservative stronghold of the nation, the Christian Democracy (DC). Aldo Moro, the President of the DC, is the main proponent of this agreement, marking a significant step in mutual recognition between Italy’s two most popular parties. On the very day of the government’s inauguration, which he has skillfully built, on the 16th of March 1978, while on his way to the Parliament, Aldo Moro is kidnapped in an ambush that wipes out his entire armed security escort. It is a direct attack to the heart of the State. His captivity will last fifty-five days, marked by Moro’s letters and the statements of the brigatisti: fifty-five days of hope, fear, negotiations, failures, good and bad actions. Fifty-five days after which his lifeless body will be left in a car in the heart of Rome, exactly halfway between the headquarters of the DC and those of the PCI.
