شاركونا في معرض “مصور غزة كيغام: فتح الصندوق” من تنسيق وابداع الحفيد كيغام دجيغاليان حيث يتواصل مع إرث جده ومع معناه العميق في السياق الراهن. إن البحث الرئيسي للحفيد كيغام يتركز على جده: الشخص والمصور وما خلفه من إرث. ومن خلال ذلك وجد نفسه وجها لوجه مع قراءة غير متسلسلة لتاريخ غزة البديل. وقامت مقاربة الحفيد كيغام للمشروع على مفاهيم التشظّي والتاريخ المتقطع والأرشيف غير المكتمل. وما كل هذا إلا مفهوم يعتبره كيغام عنصرا جوهريا لمحاولة الكشف عن غزة: الأرض والناس والذاكرة والتواريخ الذاتية التي كانت…

The grandson’s primary research is focused on exploring Kegham of Gaza – the person, the photographer and his legacy – and through this, is confronted with a non-linear reading of Gaza’s potential histories. The notions of ruptures, disrupted histories and an ‘unmade archive’ mark Kegham Jr’s approach in engaging with the surviving fraction of the archive; a concept he negotiates to be crucial for attempting to demystify Gaza: the land, the people, the memory and the subjective histories that once were.
