While some people sleep in Cairo, others wake up. Cairo from 5 to 7 a.m. is when the city is at its quietest.
Der Projektor takes place every second Wednesday of the month and showcases highlights from the independent Egyptian film scene, offering audiences a chance to discuss the films with their creators.
This year’s selection is curated by Egyptian director and screenwriter Yasser Naeim.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with directors Ahmed Abo El-Fadl and Osama El Abd, moderated by film producer Mohamed Taymour.
The discussion will be conducted in Arabic.
