بعد تعطل بطاقته البنكية وفشل موعده الغرامي، يذهب نعيم إلى منزل أخته لاقتراض بعض المال، ليجد أن أخته قد تعرضت للسرقة، مما يجعل نعيم يدخل في دوّامة عاطفية تجبره على مواجهة شعوره بالخزي.

The film explores the relationship of two brothers in their twenties, where the older brother who has escaped the army and is not allowed to travel has hard times accepting the fact that his younger brother is traveling.

After his date failed due to a visa card malfunction, Naeem goes to his sister’s house to borrow some money, only to discover his sister has been robbed, causing Naeem to go on an emotional rollercoaster that would force him to face his feelings of self-shame.
“Der Projektor” takes place every second Wednesday of the month at the Goethe-Institut in Downtown, Bustan and is curated by the Egyptian director and screenwriter Yasser Naeim.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with the directors, moderated by the filmmaker Marouan Omara. The discussion will be in Arabic, with the possibility of translating into English.
