Quest’anno segna il 150° anniversario della nascita dell’architetto Ernesto Verrucci Bey (1874-1945), un italiano che ha trascorso 42 anni della sua vita in Egitto, dove è stato nominato Architetto Capo dei Palazzi Reali dal re Fuad, ricevendo anche il titolo di Bey.

Si terrà un panel di discussione presso il Consolato Onorario Italiano di Alessandria, durante il quale il Prof. Paolo Girardelli illustrerà il percorso di Verrucci Bey attraverso le tappe della sua carriera pubblica e professionale, evidenziando il contesto dell’architettura del Mediterraneo orientale come patrimonio degno di essere

يصادف هذا العام الذكرى المئوية والخمسين لميلاد المهندس المعماري أرنستو فيروتشي بك (1874-1945)، الإيطالي الذي أمضى 42 عامًا من حياته في مصر، حيث عُيّن مهندسًا معماريًا رئيسيًا للقصور الملكية من قبل الملك فؤاد، وحصل أيضًا على لقب بك.

سيتم عقد ندوة نقاشية في القنصلية الفخرية الإيطالية في الإسكندرية، والتي سيقوم خلالها البروفيسور باولو جيرارديلي بتوضيح رحلة فيروتشي بك من خلال محطات حياته المهنية والعامة، مع تسليط الضوء على سياق العمارة في شرق البحر الأبيض المتوسط كتراث يستحق إعادة اكتشافه.

This year marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of architect Ernesto Verrucci Bey (1874-1945), an Italian who spent 42 years of his life in Egypt, where he was appointed Chief Architect of the Royal Palaces by King Fouad, receiving also the title of Bey.

A discussion panel will be held by Prof. Paolo Girardelli, during which he will illustrate Verrucci beys journey through the milestones of his public and professional career, highlighting the contest of the eastern Mediterranean Architecture as an heritage worth to be rediscovered
