Le ultime novità dal Progetto Archeologico Aswan-Kom Ombo (AKAP), a cura della Prof.ssa Maria Carmela Gatto, Accademia Polacca delle Scienze, e del Prof. Antonio Curci, Università di Bologna

L’AKAP opera da quasi vent’anni nella regione compresa tra Aswan e Kom Ombo, sia lungo il fiume che nell’entroterra desertico. La peculiarità di disporre di una delle concessioni più estese della Valle del Nilo ha offerto un’opportunità unica per diversificare le indagini sul campo, sviluppando una prospettiva regionale e multidisciplinare nello studio delle antiche comunità che vivevano in un crocevia cruciale, al contempo confine naturale e politico. La conferenza riassumerà le ricerche precedenti e offrirà una panoramica aggiornata delle tendenze e dei risultati attuali, incluse le attività di divulgazione scientifica.

آخر الإكتشافات من مشروع أسوان كوم أمبو الأثري (AKAP)، بواسطة البروفيسور ماريا كارميلا جاتو، من الأكاديمية البولندية للعلوم، والبروفيسور أنطونيو كورتشي، من جامعة بولونيا

يقوم مشروع AKAP بالعمل في المنطقة الواقعة بين أسوان وكوم أمبو، على طول نهر النيل وفي الصحراء الخلفية، منذ عشرين عامًا تقريبًا. حيث نجد الموقع الأثري بمنطقة متميزة بوادي النيل مما يقدم فرصة فريدة لتنوع أنشطة البحث الأثري الميداني، وتطوير منظور إقليمي متعدد التخصصات في دراسة المجتمعات القديمة التي كانت تعيش به ، وفي الوقت نفسه، الدور الذي تلعبه كمنطقة حدودية طبيعية وسياسية.

يلخص المؤتمر الإكتشافات السابقة ويقدم الرؤية الحالية من خلال أحدث النتائج التي توصل اليها المشروع، بما في ذلك ما تقدمه البعثة من أنشطة للتوعية بقيمة ذلك الموقع الأثري.

The Latest from the Aswan-Kom Ombo Archaeological Project (AKAP), by Prof. Maria Carmela Gatto, Polish Academy of Sciences and Prof. Antonio Curci, University of Bologna

AKAP has worked in the region between Aswan and Kom Ombo, along the river and in the desert hinterland for almost twenty years. The peculiarity of having one of the most extensive concessions in the Nile Valley has provided a unique opportunity for diversifying the field investigation, developing a multidisciplinary, regional perspective in the study of the ancient communities living at a critical crossroads and, simultaneously, a natural and political boundary region.

The conference will summarize previous research and provide an updated review of current trends and results, including outreach activities.
