عن الورشة:
الورشة هتدمج بين الأكروبات، الألعاب البهلوانية، الرقص المعاصر، والمسرح الجسدي. المدربين بن وحازم هيستخدموا تقنيات وطرق مختلفة للتعليم من خلال بناء التواصل والاستجابة بين المشاركين، واستكشاف تقنيات الشراكة الأساسية، وتقنيات المشاركة، وإعطاء الوزن وتلقيه، بالإضافة لمناهج الرقص المعاصر وألعاب وتقنيات المسرح البدني.
من خلال الورشة هيحاول المشتركين استخدام أجسادهم وحركاتهم الخاصة عشان يصمموا رقصات خاصة بيهم في دايرة ارتجال.
الورشة بترحب بكل المهتمين بالرقص والحركة من جميع المستويات والخلفيات، وكل اللي حابين يجربوا الرقص المعاصر والمسرح الجسدي لأول مرة.
Acrobatic Ensemble and Contemporary Dance workshop by Ben Grinberg and Hazem Header.
𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽:
This workshop will merge between physical theater, Ensemble acrobatics, and contemporary dance. The trainers Ben and Hazem will use partner acrobatics, and playful scores to
investigate ways that bodies become, respond to, and change the architecture of the urban landscape around them.
The workshop welcomes a broad spectrum of dance enthusiasts from all artistic backgrounds and those wanting to experience contemporary dance and physical theater for the first time.
It will contain several approaches to contemporary dance and physical theater games and techniques. With those approaches the participants will try different techniques, exercises and games beside different ways to use their bodies and their own movements to create their own choreography within an improvisation circle.
𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗴:
Ben Grinberg is a Philadelphia-based performing artist, choreographer, clown and educator working at the intersection of contemporary circus and ensemble dance theatre. His work is often concerned with the dynamics of groups of people who try to accomplish things together. Always, collaboration, ensemble, exchange, and cycles of action, reaction, and response are primary. He is a company member and co-founder of Almanac Dance Circus Theatre, an award-winning and internationally touring physical performance ensemble, and was a founding core faculty member and head of Performance and Artistic Craft at Circadium, the nation’s first certificate granting program in contemporary circus performance. He co-founded and produces Cannonball Festival, a hub for new performance in Philadelphia, and is on faculty at the UArts/Pig Iron MFA program in devised performance.
𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗛𝗮𝘇𝗲𝗺 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿:
Hazem Header is an Egyptian contemporary dancer and choreographer. With a BA of physical education, studies of Personal training, Biomechanics and Kinesiology and a long career as a personal trainer and volleyball coach, Hazem decided to focus on contemporary dance in 2009.
Hazem studied at the governmental center “Cairo Contemporary Dance Center” at Cairo Opera House. There he gained experience in choreography. In 2013 Hazem founded his own dance company ‘NÜT Dance Company’; NÜT Dance Company is a Cairo established company that produces and creates contemporary dance performances and workshops, and culture events. In 2017 under the umbrella of his company, Hazem founded “Breaking Walls Festival” to be the first international festival for site specific performances in Cairo. The festival had 5 editions till now.
