Smartphone Videography Workshop for Artists: How to develop a compelling visual storytelling
Reels and short video productions have become essential tools for artists, creatives and cultural institutions to engage with their audiences. We are pleased to announce a 2-day smartphone videography workshop led by Austrian DOP and film editor David Kleinl. The workshop is designed to help young artists and creatives unlock the full videography potential of their smartphones. From mastering camera settings to directing, editing and publishing, 15 selected participants will receive expert guidance and hands-on experience, transforming their phones into ‘pocket-sized video studios’.

A b o u t
David Kleinl (1977) is an Austrian DOP, editor and music video director who has been active in the art and television industries since the mid-1990s. Since 2017, he has also worked as a smartphone video trainer for agencies, companies and educational institutions, including fjum – Forum Journalism and Media Vienna, FH Joanneum Graz, University of Vienna, and Danube University Krems. David studied Visual Media Design and Digital Arts at the University of Applied Arts Vienna
