Hands-On Volunteering and training Program for Paper Conservation and Archiving | برنامج تدريب وعمل تطوعي على حفظ الأرشيف الورقي
يعلن سيماتك – مركز الفيلم البديل عن إطلاق برنامج تطوعي طويل المدى، يتضمن التدريب والعمل على حفظ وأرشفة مجموعات أرشيفية شخصية ذات صلة بالسينما العربية. تحتوي هذه المجموعات على مواد ورقية متنوعة من ضمنها: صور، ورسومات، ومذكرات، وخطابات، ومخطوطات، وكتب ومجلات، وغيرها من المواد المتعلقة بالأرشيف السينمائي. سيعمل المتطوعون والمتطوعات مع فريق سيماتك في إطار يسمح لهم/هن بالتعاطي مع هذه المواد الأرشيفية بشكل احترافي ونقدي وإبداعي.
يبدأ البرنامج بورشة تدريبية مكثفة لمدة ثلاثة أيام، على تقنيات حفظ المواد الورقية، والتي تشمل الفحص والتقييم، التنظيف والمعالجة، التوثيق، التغليف والتخزين والتحكم في بيئة الحفظ، وصياغة سياسات حفظ الأرشيف الورقي. تهدف الورشة إلى تزويد المشاركين والمشاركات بالمعرفة والمهارات اللازمة للمساهمة في برنامج العمل التطوعي الذي يبدأ مباشرة بعد انتهاء الورشة ويمتد على مدار ثلاثة أشهر على الأقل.
سيتعاون المتطوعون والمتطوعات، من خلال البرنامج، مع فريق سيماتك في عمليات الأرشفة من الفرز إلى الحفظ والتخزين، مرورا بالتصنيف والفهرسة والرقمنة وغيرها من الممارسات الأرشيفية. سيكتسب المتطوعون والمتطوعات القدرات العملية التي تؤهلهم للمساهمة بشكل فعال في عمل المؤسسات الأرشيفية المختلفة، كما تسمح لهم بالتعامل بشكل أفضل مع مجموعاتهم الخاصة من المواد الورقية.
سيتم إعطاء الأفضلية للمتقدمين والمتقدمات ممن لديهم/هن القدرة على الالتزام بالمشاركة في برنامج العمل التطوعي، على مدار ثلاثة أشهر على الأقل، من خلال جدول مرن.
سيوفر سيماتك جميع المستلزمات اللازمة للورشة التدريبية، ولكن يمكن للمشاركين والمشاركات إحضار مجموعاتهم الورقية الخاصة إن وجدت وفي حال توفرت لديهم/ن الرغبة في العمل عليها خلال الورشة.
اللغة العربية هي اللغة الأساسية للورشة التدريبية وللبرنامج التطوعي طويل المدى.

حضور الورشة بدون رسوم.

** البرنامج التطوعي بشقيه التدريبي والعملي، هو جزء من مشروع مختبر الأرشيف الذي يهدف إلى نشر الوعي بثقافة الأرشيف، وبناء القدرات المتعلقة بالممارسات الأرشيفية، وتمكين المجتمعات المهنية والمدنية والجمهور العام من الوصول إلى الأرشيف وإعادة استخدامه.

Cimatheque – Alternative Film Centre is launching a long-term volunteering program involving hands-on training on conserving and archiving private collections related to Arab cinema. These archival collections include various paper-based materials, such as photos, sketches, diaries, letters, manuscripts, books, magazines, and other film-related archival material. Volunteers will work with Cimatheque team in a context that allows them to professionally, critically, and creatively engage with these paper collections.
The program starts with a 3-day intensive workshop on Paper Conservation techniques, covering examination and assessment, cleaning and handling, documentation, storage, enclosure, environmental control, and collection policy. The workshop aims to equip participants with the required knowledge and skills to participate in the volunteering program that starts immediately after the workshops and lasts for at least three months.
Throughout the program, volunteers will cooperate with the Cimatheque team in different archival practices, including inspection, classification, indexing, cataloging, scanning, digitizing, and preservation. Volunteers will acquire practical capabilities that qualify them to contribute effectively to various archival institutions and better handle their own paper collections.
Preference will be given to applicants who can commit to participating in the volunteering work program for at least three months through a flexible schedule.
Cimatheque will provide all supplies for the workshop, however participants are invited to bring items from their paper collections to work on if they prefer.
Workshop will be held mainly in Arabic.

**The program is part of the ArchiveLab project that aims to promote awareness of archive culture, build capacities related to archival practices, and empower professional communities, civil society, and public audiences to access and reuse archives.
