Something Else- Off Biennale at IIC Cairo
The “Something Else – Off Biennale at IIC Cairo” will involve the screening of two short movies
Nica by Giuditta Vasile
A normal awakening in a bare house full of games. A little girl and a father. Their last morning together. A sudden goodbye. An abandonment lived without any sadness, yet another game, yet another hide and seek where to learn to find each other.
Pizza Panic by Leonardo Malaguti
For ten years Guido has received the pizza every day that he has never ordered. Exhausted, he hunts for the responsible: what seems to be a simple investigation becomes an obsession that may drive him to madness.
– Following the two shot movies screening, the Italian Cultural Institute in Cairo will be honored to open the curated artistic exhibition “Hope” which will feature artworks presented by gifted Down Syndrome artists, aged between 22 to 29 years old and members of “Maadi Sporting and Yacht club”.
In view of the developments of global events and the ongoing human conflicts, hope emerges to us through children with the will to paint their dreams and feelings with the colors of the human purity and innocence.
**The event will be followed by a reception party (upon invitation only)
Sunday – 26 November at 5:30 pm – IIC Cairo
