Beyond Dance | الرقص المعاصر و ما بعده

D-CAF brings you a special night this year to push the boundaries of dance, video art, and the most creative intersections. Whats better than a park, a screen and some food to munch on?! We’ll start the night searching for “Tarab”, a Swiss documentary about a duo that travels to Cairo, where they hope to discover the musical essence of Tarab to recreate it into a dance performance.
Moving on to our second documentary, “Characters Of Our Nether World”. An Egyptian documentary about “Haytham Farghaly” a stonecutter whose passion for art leads him to master sculpting and dance. Ultimately, we end the night with the Arab world premiere “Cosmogony”, a groundbreaking example of how performance pieces can be brought to a worldwide audience in spite of international travel restrictions. Created by the Swiss Companie “Gilles Jobin”. The dancers are captured live at the company’s studio in Geneva, 7000 miles away and screened in real time. The dancers’ movements are captured in Geneva, sliced up into digital ‘bits,’ and sent instantaneously through cyberspace to appear as avatars.

ليلة من الرقص المعاصر وما بعده، من دي كاف السنة دي في حديقة مركز التحرير الثقافي! فيلمين وعرض بث مباشر بيدفعوا حدود الفن والرقص! هنبدأ الليلة بفيلم “البحث عن طرب” و هو فيلم سويسري وثائقي بيتكلم عن اتنين سافروا من سويسرا للقاهرة في أمل انهم يكتشفوا جوهر الطرب ويخلقوا منه عرض رقص معاصر وتاني فيلم هيكون “شخوص عالمنا السفلي” وهو فيلم وثائقي مصري بيحكي عن “هيثم فرغلي” ناحت الحجر، إلي حبه للفن وشغفه حولوه لفنان رقص ونحات ماهر. و ننهي الليلة بالعرض السويسري “كوزموچنى” إلي بيتعرض لأول مرة في العالم العربي هو بث مباشر لراقصين في ستوديو في جنيف على بعد 7000 ميل . وهيتم التقاط حركة الراقصين وتقسيمها إلى اجزاء رقمية وارسالها في نفس اللحظة لتظهر على هيئة أڤاتار

D-CAF ti offre una serata speciale quest’anno per spingere i confini della danza, della video arte e delle intersezioni più creative. Cosa c’è di meglio di un parco, uno schermo e del cibo da sgranocchiare?! Inizieremo la serata alla ricerca di “Tarab”, un documentario svizzero su un duo che viaggia al Cairo, dove sperano di scoprire l’essenza musicale di Tarab per ricrearla in uno spettacolo di danza. Passiamo al nostro secondo documentario, “Characters Of Our Nether World”. Un documentario egiziano su “Haytham Farghaly”, uno scalpellino la cui passione per l’arte lo porta a padroneggiare la scultura e la danza. Infine, concludiamo la serata con la prima mondiale araba “Cosmogony”, un esempio rivoluzionario di come i pezzi performativi possono essere portati a un pubblico mondiale nonostante le restrizioni ai viaggi internazionali. Creato dalla società svizzera “Gilles Jobin”. I ballerini vengono catturati dal vivo nello studio della compagnia a Ginevra, a 7000 miglia di distanza, e proiettati in tempo reale. I movimenti dei ballerini vengono catturati a Ginevra, tagliati in “bit” digitali e inviati istantaneamente attraverso il cyberspazio per apparire come avatar.
